Do I need accounting knowledge to use NiagaKira?
No. NiagaKira is designed for everyday business owners. You record transactions in simple steps without needing to understand accounting terms.
What if NiagaKira reads my receipt incorrectly?
Receipt scanning suggests details; it does not decide them. Check the amount, date, merchant and category and correct anything that is wrong before saving. If the receipt cannot be read, the app says so and you fill it in yourself.
Can I correct a transaction after saving it?
Yes. Open the transaction from your records, review its details and use the editing options to fix the mistake. The dashboard updates from what you have recorded.
Why might my totals differ from my bank balance?
Your bank balance and your recorded income and expenses are not the same thing. Missing transactions, transfers, unpaid amounts and timing differences all affect what you see. NiagaKira does not connect to your bank, so the picture is only as complete as what you record.
Can NiagaKira replace my accountant?
No. NiagaKira helps you stay organised and understand your finances day to day. You may still need an accountant for tax filing, compliance and professional accounting advice. Your CSV export is built to hand over clean records.
